Kids’ Club “The City of Hope”
Another special service that HOPE worldwide –Moscow provides for the children from different orphanages is the literacy programs in HOPE worldwide Kids’ Club “The City of Hope”.
According to the statistics, orphans don’t have enough practical skills to survive after they graduate the orphanages. This program provides an approximate model of the society that orphans will live in after leaving the orphanage.
Being citizens of “The City of Hope”, orphans learn to work in groups, use the computer, sew, cook, and repair furniture. For their labor they earn “money” that can be spent in a “shop”. In this way, orphans learn how to be independent, industrious, and how to plan their finances. As for today this program helps 140 children to be well educated.
