The month of donation

The project "Month of Donation" was held in Kiev this year. 120 volunteers gave blood for orphans, children with AIDS, and burn victims. The Head Physician of the Republican Burn Center and the Head of the Blood Transfusion Department of the Children's Clinic expressed their personal gratitude to all volunteers who gave blood. In September cookery and origami classes for the children at orphanage №12 began. This is a part of the "City of Hope" program. Plans are to continue classes in cookery, toy sewing, mask making, and making decorations for the New Year holiday. The most important part of these classes is to carry on building friendship.

Next year we plan to repeat our blood-donor activities. We also plan to meet with the graduates from orphanage №12 and to try to help them acquire the necessary skills to begin their adult lives.
